Smart Cities Video
Working in partnership with computer vision engineers was critical to development of this feature. My role as this feature's UX designer was to research current video detection trends and suggest useful features to integrate into the platform in addition to defining the user experience.
Process
During the front-end stage of the process, gathering relevant information and business goals is the primary goal. In this case whiteboard sessions were very useful to help map out the high-level structure and generate discussions. Once the high-level structure and design challenges were mapped out. I moved into the wireframing stage to provide a higher level of detail to the conversation and get immediate feedback before moving to higher fidelity mocks.
Marketing
As a supporting project, this promotional asset provided potential business partners with a quick overview of video and other features and helped create a positive first impression. Customer facing teams had helpful input since they were able to provide input on what resonates with users at this touchpoint.
